to the winter issue
of Reiki News Magazine. Our plans to improve the magazine continue to unfold and
starting with this issue we're now full color! We've also expanded to 72 pages
and introduced a new column - Reiki Romance listed below. Reiki is a wonderful
and highly effective tool for healing and self-improvement and it also can be
used on a global scale to improve conditions for all living things. Because of
this, we are motivated to keep making improvements to the magazine because we
know that as we help you improve your use of Reiki, everyone on the planet benefits.

Reiki
in the Holy Land

My recent trip to the Holy Land allowed me to visit Old Jerusalem,
one of the world's holy cities. I also traveled to Qumran, where the Dead Sea
Scrolls were found, Masada, site of Jewish resistance, the Galilee area where
Jesus is said to have performed miracle healings, and Hafia location of a Baha'i
shrine. During my travels, I had powerful experiences, was healed and gained insight
into the cause of war and the source of peace. The history of healing by various
groups is covered as well as how Reiki is currently practiced and taught in Israel.
Suggestions on how to use Reiki to promote peace in the Middle East are included.
This 10 page article is beautifully laid out and contains 19 color photos including
sacred sites of Judaism, Islam and Christianity.

Teaching Reiki at Hospitals and Clinics

As Reiki becomes more popular, hospitals and clinics are including
it in their list of patient services. Hospital staff are also expressing an interest
in learning Reiki. During her 17 years of Reiki practice, Pamela has had the opportunity
to offer both treatments and training in a wide range of medical settings. Pamela
says, "I have found the greatest satisfaction in creating hospital-based
programs offering Reiki instruction to patients." She shares her valuable
