you with inspiration as well as new ideas and techniques so your practice of Reiki
can be more fulfilling and beneficial - to you as well as those you treat. By
calling on Reiki to guide this process and by continually searching for the very
best writers and giving them the freedom and encouragement to produce their best
work, we remain focused on fulfilling that purpose. Check the amazing list of

Hiroshi Doi is
Interviewed

Hiroshi Doi is a leading authority on the practice of Reiki in
Japan. His membership in the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai places him in a unique position
to access information about the original Reiki methods of Dr. Mikao Usui. His
dedication to healing and preserving the Usui system of Reiki make him a valuable
resource to the Reiki community. The interview answers many important questions
concerning what takes place at Gakkai meetings and how Dr. Usui taught and practiced
Reiki. According to Mr. Doi, the Gakkai is the only organization that teaches
and practices Reiki in the original style as taught by Dr. Usui. Mr. Doi's background
in healing and Reiki is also covered. Mr. Doi is a sensitive and conscientious
healer and in this interview he adds greater depth of understanding along with
many interesting details about Usui Reiki Ryoho.
Reiki In
Hospitals

This new column focuses on how Reiki is being integrated into
hospitals and clinics. In this issue, Dr. Mills describes her own experience in
using Reiki in her Obstetrics and Gynecology Practice. The wonderful results she
receives by adding Reiki to her practice along with the challenges she experienced
in gaining acceptance for Reiki with the nurses and other doctors at her hospital
are included. This new column will be helpful to those who are currently working
in hospitals or clinics or would like to start.
Reiki Aura
Clearing and Psychotherapy

Karen explains how she uses Reiki to improve
the quality of her work and decrease the number of sessions necessary to produce
significant healing and recovery for many of her psychotherapy clients. Karen
states: "Aura clearing can quickly and easily release energetic blockages
from all levels of the energy field, working more quickly than Reiki alone. These
blocked patterns can be recent, from childhood, or even from a past life."
She explains some of her patients' stories and the dramatic results this technique
has helped her achieve.
Enhancing the Treatment of HIV/AIDS
with Reiki Training and Treatment

This case
report describes how one person living with AIDS successfully used a hospital
based Reiki treatment and training program. His issues of depression, anxiety
and substance abuse were addressed and he was able to return to work. According
to quality of life and productivity assessments the patient is now thriving. This
case demonstrates the potential value of integrating Reiki into conventional medical
practice and points to the need for further discussion and research.
Reiki
and Addictions

Many in the world today live with great abundance. This can
be a blessing, but it can also lead to unhealthy consumption and even addiction.
Addictions enslave us and divert our time and resources into non-productive behavior.
The ability to direct our behavior and form healthy habits is an important life
skill. In this article, Diane explains addictive patterns and how to use Reiki
to clear them. She gives an example of her own addiction to cigarettes and how
she used a special Reiki technique to end the habit. The technique is clearly
explained including how to use it on your clients. Other uses are given including
how to use the technique to empower affirmations and create healthy habits. She
also explains why it works based on recent brain research. This is a great article
and addresses a very important topic.
Reiki and the Spine

The spine is the conduit though which important life energies flow.
The seven main chakras attach to the spine and important physical energies flow
along the spinal cord as well. Keeping the spine healthy and strong is an important
part of healing as well as preventing illness. Walter explains the importance
of the spine and describes techniques using Reiki along with healing stones, oils
and affirmations to heal spinal related conditions.

and Yoga Mudra

Yoga, a method for self improvement as well as a path to the Divine, has been
practiced for thousands of years. Yoga mudras are specific hand and finger positions,
held for a period of time, used to create higher states of consciousness and promote
well-being. While yoga mudras are powerful, adding Reiki energy makes them even
more beneficial. Many who have done this have entered blissful states and experienced
deeper levels of healing. This article gives specific instructions on how to do
a number of important Yoga mudras. The photos make it easy to follow.
Kundalini Yoga and Reiki

Kundalini yoga is another branch of yoga we visit in this
issue. Laurelle provides understanding of this ancient practice as taught by Yogi
Bhajan. This is a safe and effective method of working with Kundalini energy.
This practice can be used to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous
system, and create harmony and peace within the mind and emotions. Awakening Kundalini
can also enable Divine visions and psychic gifts and open us to a spontaneous
flow of words and knowledge infused with Divine wisdom. She explains how to blend

Movie Mystic Review

and how it applies to our spiritual lives. Stephen says: "This is a film

Reiki Stories
These stories, sent in by
our readers give real life validation to the practice of Reiki. Many include
people who had serious illnesses and before and after medical tests that confirmed
both the existence of the condition and the healing. They demonstrate the miracle
working power of Reiki and inspire us to develop our skill and use our Reiki.
